On the 31st March of this year Law n.º 7-B/2016 was approved by the Parliament with the main strategic goals for 2016-2019. The measures for higher education are outlined under the title “Modernize, qualify and diversify” with the following strategic guidelines: widening access and democratization of higher education; reinforcing the autonomy of scientific and higher education institutions; guaranteeing institutional diversity, by making the most of the formative installed capacity; stimulating the development of the levels of completion; increasing the support for graduate employment; and reinforcing the instruments for internationalization of higher education institutions.
