The Education Ministers of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), met in Dili (East Timor) on the 17th of April 2015, in order to adopt the Strategic Plan for Multilateral Cooperation in Education and to discuss matters relating to the education systems of member States.
Participants reaffirmed the need for improving education systems, investment to foster widening access, increasing education levels of the population, and also the Technical Vocational Education as a central tool for the development of knowledge and technical capacities of CPLP populations. Information will be compiled to allow a better knowledge of educational systems of the CPLP, students characteristics, the school enrollment rates, teaching methodologies and available resources.
